Podcast #50- Staci’s Conversation with Michael Sheridan

To commemorate the 50th episode, this week the tables are turned- friend and former guest Michael Sheridan (#12) talks to me about my journey- stories- and music selections!

The first podcast was aired May 26, 2016- and is an introduction & welcome – where I describe my inspiration for Strangers Stopping Strangers- as the website says- ” a podcast adventure within the community to discuss the music, how it shaped us in the past and today, with connections to songs, shows, and people”.  I also pick out 2 songs- both from the show that was on my actual birthday -Boston Garden, April 2, 1973- it was later chosen as Dave’s Pick Volume 21 – to my delight! The songs that I chose are Eyes of the World and Here Comes Sunshine- they both felt apropos.

16 months- 48 amazing guests- many now friends- ages 16 to 65+ – from all geographies & live music experiences + hundreds of smoking music picks from many different incarnations and iterations of the band!

It was suggested that I share my stories about music experiences- #50 felt like the time to do it & share “what lead up to this day”  that is all I will say- because it is ALL in the podcast- lots and lots of me talking in this one!!

Reflecting back on 50 podcasts- an enormously grateful THANK YOU to everyone! My family and friends who have supported me on this adventure (especially my husband and children that live with Strangers Stopping Strangers- who have to be a part extra conversations that gets initiated ……almost daily ) The deadhead community which offers tremendous kindness & support- the 48 guests that have shared their lives & every person who has listened- – I hope a you have has few smiles…
